The jewel of the altiplano, or puna as it is called, is Lake Titicaca, 3,822 meters high. This region is spectacular with its stunning backdrop of snow-capped Andean peaks, superb railway line to Cusco, deep blue of the lake, fascinating archaeological ruins such as the Chullpas of Sillustani, and rich indigenous culture. Puno, capital of the department, is known as the folklore center of Peru.
We have several trips which spend time visiting Puno and Lake Titicaca, and longer stays can of course be arranged. This region deserves a leisurely approach if you can spare the time. For a complete break, consider staying a few nights in the exquisite boutique hotel on Suasi Island, where the beauty and remoteness of Lake Titicaca can be really appreciated.
And for a marvellous way to travel between Cusco and Puno, consider taking the Orient Express Andean Explorer train. Although taking a full day, time will fly as you watch the stunning scenery, visit the observation carriage, and enjoy the comforts for which Orient Express are reknowned.

Sandra, in a word we had an AMAZING trip! We can't thank you enough for the services rendered; the level of professionalism and the quality of the services was beyond any expectations we had prior to our travel. I could write a book on all the things that went well and brought smiles daily to our faces. Know that I intend to recommend your organization to all my friends and colleagues and trust me--the people I am associted with travel routinely for business and pleasure.........
